Joseph "Joe" Vangalen

          Passed away peacefully at Ian Anderson Hospice in Oakville, Ontario.  He lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on Friday, October 24th, 2008 in his 65th year.

          Husband and beloved companion of Anne for 44 years.  Devoted and loving father of Robert and his wife Deborah from Orangeville, Michael and his wife Petra from Cambridge and Heidi and partner Sarah of Oakville.  Cherished grandfather to Benjamin, Nicholas, Matthew, Sarah, Christopher and Ryan. Joe is survived by his brother Harry from Nanaimo, British Columbia, his sister Lucia from North Vancouver, British Columbia, and his sister Johanna from Vernon, British Columbia and many nieces and nephews.

          In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ian Anderson House or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
