Survived by loving wife, Molly, sisters Sandy & Linda, brothers Barry & Brad, daughters Victoria & Kate, and grandsons Zane, Axel & Moses.
Rod had a full life that included many years as an officer in the Canadian Navy. Friends made during this time were bonds that lasted a lifetime. There he learned that a life on the water was one of the best you could have.
From Reveille on the bugle to wake his fellow classmates at RMC, to (most fondly), the concertina, his passion and love of music was a lifelong pursuit. An avid band member (Rig-a-Jig), Morris Dancer and storyteller, Rod's love of life, nature, family, music and the sea was infectious. If he wasn't playing for the audience, he was in the front row.
We will miss him and take comfort in knowing his next adventure will be even better than the one he had here; which was pretty fantastic. A celebration of life dance will be held at Norway House, 1110 Hillside Ave, Victoria, BC on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 7 pm.
