Subject: Passing of Bob MacKay

Gentlemen:

I have the very sad duty to inform you of the passing of our classmate, Bob MacKay, yesterday 1 Apr 10, after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Gail, and son Rob, and daughter Theresa.

You may recall that Bob left Venture after only 9 months, but went back to university and onward to a very successful career as lawyer in Vancouver. He and Gail retired to Nanoose Bay a few years ago and were enjoying retirement. Through his involvement in the Duke of Edinborough Award programme and his association with Mark Crofton, we were able to reestablish contact with him and he and Gail attended the past two reunions.

A memorial service will be held in Victoria at a date to be decided (see obituary below). Email address for condolences is robert_mackay@telus.net .
