Gunroom Lecture
[ just before Cadets were allowed to go ashore]

1.                  Sunday Divisions, ...picked up - will not go ashore that day
            and shall be inspected at such times as the  O.O.D. may set aside.
2.                  Until further notice, ...the Gunroom is out of bounds on Sunday
            from noon until after church.
                  3.                  Don't smoke in the heads.
4.                  No bad language.
5.                  Salute officers in plain clothes.
6.                  Don't hitch-hike.
7.                  Don't accept a lift in a truck or from a casual passerby.
8.                  Don't drive a truck in uniform.
9.                  Bus, Taxi, ...walk!
10.              Don't stroll or saunter.
11.              Don't smoke on the street.
12.              Don't chew gum.
13.              Don't eat anything on the street or in any place other than a restaurant.
14.              Don't hold hands or walk Aarm-in-arm@ with anybody.
15.              Don't overload a U-Drive.
16.              Leave cap on in a car.
17.              Don't have hands in pockets.
18.              Do walk purposely, ....somewhere to go.
19.              Walk in step.
20.              Give female a bus seat.
21.              Give old man a seat.
22.              Take cap off in elevator when female is presant.
23.              Take cap off in a movie, restaurant.
24.              Leave cap on in a store.
25.              Don't patronize second rate food houses.
26.              Do eat in nice places,

            c.           Oak Bay Beach Hotel
            d.     Chez Marcel
            e.      Chez Ernest
27.              5B's for leave with Burberrys - carried, ...worn in rain, ...no gloves.
28.              No picking up girls.

            e.                  Yacht club
            f.                  Shops and Stores

30.              May NOT go,

            e.                 Any dance of admission fee
            f.                  Any pool room
            g.                 Bowling alley
            h.         Veteran's club, Legion, etc.,
            i.           Arena, ..except as a spectator
            j.                 Roller skating rink.
31.              Shall not keep company with,
            a.                 Non-commissioned personnel of any armed service of any country
            b.         Zoot suiters, ...peasants
32.              Can't go in any Mess.
