                  Commodore James Bernard O'REILLY (Retired), ..... August 7th, 1937 - May 20th, 2005
Passed away at Ottawa hospital after a courageous 6 year battle with cancer. Bernie is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Eileen (nee Bourdeau), his son Douglas (Rose) of Victoria B.C., his daughter Mary Catherine (Ian Johnson) of Osgoode and his grandchildren Trevor, Reilly Anne, Victoria and Shannon. Dear brother of Hughie and family of Cornwall and Brockville, and nephew of Gertie McGinnis of Montreal. Fondly remembered by many family and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Paul McCarthy and staff, Dr. Shamji, Dr. Susan Dent and the staff at the Ottawa Regional Cancer Clinic for their incredible support and treatment over the course of Bernie's illness. Thank you to Dr. Laura Regnier, the nurses and staff of Room 6212 during his final days. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 2370 St-Joseph Blvd., Orleans, Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday at Divine Infant Church, 6658 Bilberry Dr., Orleans, for Mass of Christian Funeral at 10 a.m. In memoriam, donations to the Canadian Cancer Foundation or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation appreciated.
